GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul is back with another hard-hitting TV advertisement, in which he says politicians are ?whimpering like little shih tzus? in their approach to debt reduction.
Paul?s latest 30-second campaign ad, which will air on broadcast and cable television in Iowa and New Hampshire, portrays the Texas congressman?as a budget-cutting, federal-agency-smashing ?big dog,? in contrast to the rest of the GOP field.
?What?s up with these sorry politicians?? says a narrator whose deep voice may be more suited to truck commercials than to political TV spots. ?Lots of bark, but when it comes to showtime, whimpering like little shih tzus.?
The high-energy ad touts Paul?s promise to cut ?a trillion with a ?T?? dollars from the federal budget and eliminate a number of federal agencies.
In the ad, the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Education, Energy, Housing and Urban Development, and Interior are shown going up in smoke.
?Later, bureaucrats!? the ad concludes. ?That?s how Ron Paul rolls.?
The Paul campaign hasn?t hesitated to release attack ads against fellow candidates, most likely because Paul has little to lose. He has announced that this will be his last run for president, and he won?t be running for reelection in the House.
