Human Resources Officer at Wanderjoy Party World in Nairobi ? Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies

A leading events company in the country seeks to immediately fill the position of a human resources officer.

HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Reporting to: Managing Director

Duties: and Responsibilities

• Constantly review, update and implement company policies and procedures.
• Preparation and administration of contracts and maintenance of paper files.
• Training and development of staff to upgrade their skills and competencies.
• Recruitment of qualified, competent and experienced staff in liaison with the CEO.
• Induction and briefing the candidates about their responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question;
• Providing support to line managers and supervisors on matters pertaining to HR;
• Guide the grievance and disciplinary procedure.
• Initiate and administer staff welfare scheme in line with company policies;
• Provide strategic HR support to the business working closely with the line managers and the CEO.
• Conduct guidance and counseling for staff on a need to basis.
• Performance management.
• Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or Human Resources from a recognized university

Professional Qualifications
? Post graduate Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
? Certificate of workplace counselling from a recognized institution added advantage

Skills and Experience
? 2 ? 3 year?s experience in a similar position
? Conversant with the employment and labour laws
? Good organization, analytical and communication skills
? Computer literacy

Competences
Ability to keep abreast with the constant changes in the industry practices
